Discharge a Client

It is important to keep your current Client list accurate by discharging Clients that no longer require services. This empowers your Agency to make sound business decisions and helps you with Caregiver assignments.

All billing should completed before discharging a Client. To make any changes to the profile of a discharged Client, you will need to readmit the Client.

To discharge a Client:

  1. Go to Clients > Current Clients and find the Client record.
  2. Click the Ellipses under the Actions column and select Change Status from the menu.

  3. The Change Status window opens. Select Discharged from the Status dropdown menu.

  4. Select a Discharge Reason from the dropdown. Discharge reasons can be added via Administration > Masters > Field Codes > Patient Discharge Codes.

  5. Add an Effective Date and a Note explaining the reason for discharge. Click the Change button.

The Client record will move to the Discharged list.
