Minnesota S5116 CFSS Home Care Training for Non-Family
Per Minnesota DHS Qualified Professional Supervision (S5116) guidelines, the Agency and Client must have a training and development plan agreed upon for caregivers. The CFSS provider Agency or FMS provider bills DHS for the training.
In both CFSS models, the lead Agency authorizes a CFSS worker training and development budget that the worker’s employer (i.e., Agency or person) can use flexibly to fulfill these responsibilities.
Based on the number of training hours in the training and development plan the rate per unit is different for each Client.
Here is an easy formula to help you achieve the rate per unit: Take the total dollar amount, divide by the number of training hours, and then divide by 4 to get the rate per unit. For example, $1000 divided by 100 hours divided by 4 = $2.50 dollars per unit.
